A group from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Personnel Management visited the academy on September 17, 2024. The 45 participants were given an overview of the academy’s profile and activities. This was followed by an exchange with the AIA Fellows Chelsea Haramia, Mariia Levchenko and Raúl González Muñoz, who presented their respective research projects.

The participants asked Chelsea Haramia about the background to the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program and interrogated Raúl González Muñoz about Europe’s strategic autonomy in space. Mariia Levchenko’s expertise on national peace dialogs in Chad was also very well received. The participants agreed that it is precisely because the possibility of peace in Ukraine still seems to be a long way off that Mariia’s research is so important in order to be prepared for the role that national peace dialogues could play in her home country one day.
