The AIA NRW and its Fellows were delighted to welcome 25 Master’s students from the second year of the new “Strategy and International Security” (MSIS) program at the University of Bonn, which is led by our Academic Board member Ulrich Schlie.

After a general overview of the program and the Academy’s activities, the students had the opportunity to discuss with the fellows in small groups. With Adam Bower they discussed the opportunities and challenges of regulating security in space, with Raul Gonzalez they talked about the potentials and limits of Europe’s strategic autonomy in space and with Bernhard Stahl the silence of German foreign policy on mass crimes was controversially debated. The students will take the impulses with them for their further studies and the Academy looks forward to welcoming them to further events at any time.
